Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a maintenance-focused engineer to build testers, fixtures and environmental test chambers to exact specifications. You will repair testers and fixtures, diagnose faults, and drive corrective actions to minimise recurrence.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in test or debug related field.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Candidate must possess a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build testers, fixtures and environmental test chambers to specification standards.
• Repair testers and fixtures in accordance with fault logging and downtime system.
• Diagnose faults and causes, driving corrective actions to minimise recurrence.
• Document all repairs and improvements on test equipment.
• Monitor testers for intermittencies and reduce them against targets.
• Support Operations and Test Engineers through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain component programming facility and label printing equipment.
• Control and maintain maintenance and calibration system per ISO requirements.
• Schedule and execute maintenance on time and to standards.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs for all test equipment.
• Control and maintain part numbering and min/max levels for spares.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibility for building testers, fixtures and environmental test chambers to the specification standards required.

Repairs testers, fixtures in accordance with the fault logging and down time system.

Responsibility for diagnosing the fault and cause of fault and driving appropriate corrective actions to ensure minimal reoccurrence of failures.

Documents all repairs and improvements on test equipment.

Monitors all testers for intermittencies and reduces them in accordance with targets set.

Provides support to Operations and the Test Engineers through participation in the continuous improvement effort and promotion of a "Quality First" mentality.

Supports and maintains the component programming facility and the label printing equipment.

Controls and maintains the equipment maintenance and calibration system in accordance with ISO requirements. Responsibility for scheduling and execution of maintenance on time and to the correct standards.

Responsibility for development of preventative maintenance program development for each element of test equipment.

Controls and maintains the part numbering system for all test equipment's and spares and will be responsible for establishing a min/max level for all spares required.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in test or debug related field is required for this position.
