As Dean, you will shape the future of business education through academic innovation, research excellence, industry collaboration, and strategic leadership. Job Summary

The Dean of the School of Management & Business provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership to advance the School's mission, academic excellence, research impact, and industry relevance. The role is responsible for driving programme innovation and quality, fostering a high-performance culture among faculty and staff, strengthening partnerships with industry and external stakeholders, ensuring accreditation and regulatory compliance, and managing the School's resources effectively. The Dean will play a key role in shaping future-ready graduates, promoting impactful research, and supporting the University's strategic growth and reputation.

Responsibilities

Ensure academic programmes are fully and timely implemented and monitored, including workload distribution among faculty members, while maintaining high standards in curriculum delivery and assessment.

Develop new programmes that are relevant to national and socio-economic development needs.

Identify slow learners early in the semester and provide appropriate academic support.

Ensure effective student monitoring, including attendance and academic performance, and initiate appropriate remedial measures.

2. Research & Scholarly Development

Encourage and ensure faculty members actively engage in research activities, including publications, conference presentations, and securing external research grants.

3. Quality Assurance & Accreditation

Ensure all documentation and records are complete and readily available to support accreditation and quality assurance processes.

4. Industry Engagement & External Partnerships

Develop and strengthen collaborations with industry partners to facilitate industrial training, internships, and graduate placement opportunities for students.

5. School Administration & Governance

Conduct academic and administrative meetings for the school, maintain records and minutes of meetings, and ensure implementation of decisions and action plans.

Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the University Management from time to time.

Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working culture among academic and administrative staff within the school.

Prepare the annual budget and ensure the optimal utilization of financial, physical, and human resources.

Qualification and Experience

A doctorate degree in the relevant discipline.

With a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role(s) in higher education institutions.
