A leading educational institution is seeking a dynamic leader for the School of Hospitality. In this role, you will provide academic and administrative guidance, oversee staff development, and enhance program offerings. Ideal candidates will have a Master's or PhD in Hospitality, along with a strong record of higher education experience.
Provide academic, professional, and administrative leadership to the School of Hospitality.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Serve as the key leader in delivering quality academic leadership for the school/faculty, including hiring and onboarding qualified staff, observing lecturers in class, providing guidance and feedback, and supporting their objectives and professional development.
Develop key differentiation for existing and new programmes within the school/faculty, including driving innovative pedagogical approaches supported by online learning and real-life industry projects.
Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to achieve targeted student enrolment, including organising school talks, open days, programme previews, and academic counselling.
Partner with the Academic Dean/Director on operational planning, including workload planning, timetabling, student retention programmes, institutional development activities, academic board, student progression and compliance matters.
Recommend and develop new programmes supported by market data and competitive intelligence.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to student engagement, individual development, and graduate success, including job placement.
REQUIREMENTS :
Must possess a Master’s and/or PhD in appropriate discipline related to Hospitality.
Notable record of teaching, scholarship and academic administrative experience in higher education.
Familiarity with the administrative and management systems of a college.
Experience in managing budgets and effectively line-managing individual members of staff and teams.
Ability to create a collegiate atmosphere and willingness to take account of diverse views, while accepting responsibility for decisions.
Strong interpersonal communication skills including negotiation and influencing in difficult situations.
