Job description

Dean, Faculty of Computing and Analytics

• Provide academic leadership in the areas of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Analytics.

• Drive programme development, curriculum enhancement, and quality assurance.

• Lead research, publication, and consultancy initiatives.

• Mentor academic staff and supervise postgraduate students.

• Strengthen industry collaboration and professional certification integration.

• Manage faculty operations and strategic development.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

A PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with research focus in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a relevant specialization, from a recognized institution.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years of academic experience, including at least 5 years in a senior academic or administrative leadership role.

• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, programme management, and academic quality assurance.

• Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage academic teams effectively.

Scholarly and Professional Track Record:

• Established publication record in indexed journals (ISI/WOS, Scopus/ERA-rated), reflecting subject-matter expertise and research impact.

• Proven track record in securing and managing externally funded research projects.

• Experience in supervising postgraduate research at Master’s and PhD levels to completion.

• Active engagement in academic conferences, professional networks, or editorial boards.

Additional Attributes:

• Strong communication, strategic planning, and decision-making skills essential for academic leadership.

• Deep understanding of Open, Distance, and Digital Education (ODDE) models and emerging trends in digital learning.

• Proven ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships with industry, academia, and relevant stakeholders.
