Job summary

Kerry in Malaysia is seeking a DCS Technician to support the Distribution Control System across our oleochemical plants. You will operate, monitor, and control DCS in line with SOPs, ensure production efficiency, quality, and safety, and report deviations to supervisors.

Ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, has at least 2 years in oleochemical industries, fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and is comfortable using SAP; GMP and food-safety experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering required.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• SAP experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and control the Distribution Control System (DCS) according to SOP/WI/References and instruction from Production Executive.
• Ensure efficient operation of all plant areas including raw material unloading, processing, and finishing while maintaining quality and safety.
• Record process conditions in the daily log and report deviations or malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
• Collaborate with Production Executives and Supervisors on plant activities and on-site preparation and sampling.
• Coordinate with QC for in-process testing and verification of results.
• Handle SAP process orders and product label preparation.
• Adhere to GMP, HSE and 5S workplace culture and support HACCP, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Halal standards.

About The Role

In general, DCS Technician need to understand and fulfilled all the job scope given by the company. The DCS Technician is responsible to ensure effectiveness and compliance to all management systems which have been practiced in the company. The DCS Technician must have a good technical knowledge to support the goals and programs established by the management team. The DCS Technician should also have a positive attitude and good initiative to grow and develop with company to become a world class manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible to comply and fulfil the requirement of Company Policy.
• Will be reporting to Production Executive in charged in shift.
• In absence of Production Executive, DCS technician will be reporting to Production Supervisor in charged.
• To operate, monitor, and controlling Distribution Control System (DCS) based on the SOP/WI/Reference, and instruction from Production Executive in-charged.
• Responsible to ensure efficient operation of overall plants including raw material unloading, processing plant, and finishing plant without neglecting the importance of quality and safety.
• To record process condition into the checklist periodically.
• Assisting Production Executive to compile and record the overall plant activities inside the logbook and daily report.
• To inform Production Executive/Production Supervisor of any deviation, failures or, malfunctioning of the system or machineries without delay.
• Communicate with other Production Technicians for on-site preparation, adjustment, or periodic sampling.
• Communicate with QC Technician pertaining in-process testing result, and verification of the result according to specification.
• To communicate, coordinate, and record the receiving of raw material, production outputs, waste generation, and utilities consumption.
• Responsible to handle SAP system for initiating and completing the process order.
• Responsible to handle the product labels preparation.
• Responsible to practice GMP, HSE and 5S culture in the workplace.
• Responsible to ensure compliance to all management systems such as but not limited to HACCP, ISO9001, FSSC22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Halal.
• Responsible to ensure the cleanliness of the workplace and assisting the superior for value added tasks.
• Ad-hoc tasks as and when required/assigned

Qualifications And Skills

• Education Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience Minimum 2 years experience in oleochemical industry (refinery),
• Language Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Having experience in using SAP is added advantage
• Having experience in GMP and Food safety working environment is added advantage.
