About the role
As a Distribution Control System (DCS) Technician, you will be responsible for understanding and fulfilling all job scopes assigned by the company. You will ensure the effectiveness and compliance of all management systems practiced in the company. The role requires good technical knowledge, a positive attitude, and initiative to support the company's goals and development towards becoming a world-class manufacturer.

- Reporting To: Assistant Production Manager
- Working Hours: Shift hours (7am – 3pm / 3pm – 11pm / 11pm – 7am)
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Report to the Production Executive in charge during shifts, or to the Production Supervisor in the absence of the Production Executive.
- Operate, monitor, and control the Distribution Control System (DCS) according to SOPs, work instructions, and directives from the Production Executive.
- Ensure the efficient operation of all plant sections, including raw material unloading, processing, and finishing, maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Record process conditions periodically in checklists.
- Assist in compiling and recording plant activities in logbooks and daily reports.
- Report any system or machinery deviations, failures, or malfunctions promptly to supervisors.
- Coordinate with other technicians for site preparations, adjustments, or sampling.
- Work with QC Technicians regarding in-process testing and verification against specifications.
- Record and coordinate receipt of raw materials, production outputs, waste, and utilities consumption.
- Handle SAP system processes for initiating and completing process orders.
- Prepare product labels as required.
- Practice GMP, HSE, and 5S standards in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with management systems such as HACCP, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Halal standards.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and support value-added tasks as assigned.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and skills
- 2-3 years of experience as a DCS Technician.
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with DCS systems, preferably Yokogawa.
- Experience in the oleo-chemical and/or food industry.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with common software applications.
