RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in monitoring and tuning database performance to ensure optimal operation.

Provide support in database security management, including backups and disaster recovery processes.

Help troubleshoot and resolve issues with databases and servers.

Assist in the setup and configuration of database environments.

Support day-to-day database maintenance tasks, including managing tablespaces, backups, and updates.

Collaborate with senior DBAs and developers to optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.

Learn and implement database best practices related to security, scalability, and reliability.

Assist in repairing corrupted data and help ensure quick recovery in the event of a disaster.

Work with team members to ensure the smooth operation of databases and contribute to performance tuning.

Support remote database administration and assist customers with database-related queries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.

Required experience in ORACLE or IBM DB2 or Tibero.

Experience in database infrastructure and architecture design.

Experience in database optimization and performance tuning.

Experience with backup and restore, tablespace allocation/management, managing the overall health and status for database.

Experience in database clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery.

At least 1-year experience in programming is compulsory.

Experience on SQL and PL/SQL commands

Familiarity with Linux operation system and shell scripts
