Job description

Responsibilities:

The accountabilities include (but not limited to) the following: -

•Design, develop, implement and support emerging big data analytics capabilities through the development and maintenance of advanced data ingestion, processing, modelling and reporting capabilities

•Support solutionists by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up and recovery specifications and strategy

•Build analytics tools utilizing data pipeline into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics – key is to provide actionable insights and meaningful visualizations

•Collaborate with Senior data scientists to digest business problems, understand data information, ability to feed curated data into uncovered or discovered models (Predictive/Machine Learning)

•Ensure data ingestion and conversion takes into account the right and relevant metrics, from the right sources, in the right order

Qualifications

•Minimum Bachelor Degree in either, IT, Computing, Accountancy, Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics or other relevant degree

•Minimum 5 years of experience in the data domain, with exposure to application of Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Analytics etc.

Competencies

•Strong comprehension in the relevant scripting languages and tools (e.g.: R, Python, SQL etc.)

•Translate stakeholder requirements into well-defined specifications and data structure design

•Strong investigative instincts – able to decipher and connect multiple databases across the segments, businesses, products, and Group

•Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

•Possess strong analytical skills and problem solving ability

•Possess good language and communication skills (verbal and written).

•Able to perform work under pressure in meeting individual/team goals within tight deadlines

•Highly flexible with a strong commitment to a deadline oriented environment
