Job summary

Grab is seeking a data analytics professional to optimize Fulfilment tech across Southeast Asia. You will translate requirements into data specs, build pipelines, and run experiments that inform product decisions, reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager.

Based onsite in Petaling Jaya, you will collaborate with Product, Business, Engineering, Design and Data Science to deliver data-driven solutions that improve driver and partner experiences and drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data-related or quantitative fields.
• Fluent in SQL, Python, R or similar languages; comfortable with large datasets and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience running and analyzing controlled experiments.

Responsibilities

• Transform requirements into data requirements and identify trends to inform decision-making through dashboards and presentations.
• Develop data pipelines and custom data science models to solve identified problems.
• Create data-driven hypotheses and collaborate with product and engineering teams to design experiments.
• Design data specifications for new products and ensure accurate data collection.
• Launch A/B and timeslice experiments, analyze results and provide recommendations.
• Conduct targeted analysis to find new business opportunities and track key metrics.
• Collaborate with partners to scope problems and improve internal processes through automation.
• Build and enhance AI tools to boost analytics productivity.

Get to Know the Role

You will be within the Fulfilment tech family, responsible for platform's effectiveness and reliability through optimizations across supply planning, dispatch strategy, pricing, driver experiences and efficiency. The team extracts data and experiment insights that directly help improve our models & develop technical products and programs, setting new benchmarks for excellence.

Reporting to Senior Analytics Manager, you'll collaborate across departments (Product, Business, Engineering, Design, and Data Science) to transform data into dynamic solutions. Your insights will directly help develop groundbreaking products and programs, setting new benchmarks for excellence. This isn't just any role; it's a chance to affect millions of lives every day.

You will work onsite at our office in Petaling Jaya.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will transform requirements into concise data requirements, identify trends, spot anomalies, build insights through dashboards and presentations to create comprehensive views for decision-making.
• You will develop data pipelines and custom data science models to solve identified problems.
• You will create data-driven hypotheses and collaborate with product and engineering teams to design experiments that inform important product decisions.
• You will design data specifications for new products, ensuring accurate data collection.
• You will launch A/B and timeslice experiments, analyse results, and provide relevant recommendations.
• You will conduct targeted analysis for specific products and operations, to find new business/product opportunities, define critical business metrics, and track them rigorously.
• You will work with partners to scope problems and enhance internal processes through automation.
• You will build existing AI tools and capabilities to enhance overall productivity for the Analytics function

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have 2 or more years in data-related or quantitative fields
• You are fluent in SQL, Python, R, or other scripting/programming languages. Your comfort with very large datasets and complex Extract, Transform, and Load processes sets you apart.
• Statistical knowledge: You have hands‑on experience running and analysing controlled experiments, turning data into relevant insights.
• You can help narrow down multiple options into the best approach, and take ownership of open-ended ambiguous business problems. Propose novel solutions that go beyond common practice
• You have skills in designing experiments, data visualisation and storytelling. You can create intuitive and impactful dashboards using PowerBI or Tableau.
• You can guide teams to advise senior partners.
