Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a Data Scientist in Kuala Lumpur to apply data science, ML and AI to solve business problems and deliver measurable value across the bank.

The role focuses on designing AI solutions, building scalable models, and applying agentic AI to automate workflows and improve customer engagement. Collaboration with teams across the bank is essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science or generative AI solutions development.
• Proficient in Python and modern ML libraries; familiarity with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI-driven solutions, including GenAI copilots, recommendation engines and RAG-based applications.
• Build, validate and scale predictive and generative models to address business opportunities and operational challenges.
• Explore and apply agentic AI concepts to automate workflows, support decision-making and enhance customer engagement.
• Analyse large-scale structured and unstructured data across multiple business domains to uncover actionable insights.
• Develop clear data narratives and visualisations that translate complex analytical findings into business recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to co-create scalable AI and analytics solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

Job Description
