Job summary

Sports Direct Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Compliance to lead PDPA 2024 compliance, data protection, anti-bribery, whistleblowing, and governance programs. The role acts as the DPO and advises departments on regulatory interpretation.

You will conduct risk assessments, manage data breaches, audits, and training, embedding a culture of ethics. Based in Subang Jaya, you will collaborate with regulators, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications in Data Protection, Compliance, Risk, or ISO standards are advantageous.
• Eight+ years in risk management, compliance, internal audit, ISO, or legal roles.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian laws and regulations such as PDPA and MACC Act.
• Excellent English and Bahasa Malaysia communication; high integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Advise departments on interpreting and applying PDPA 2024.
• Lead DPIAs and assess data privacy risks in products, services, and processes.
• Develop and strengthen the company's compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits, manage data breaches, and maintain compliance records.
• Design and deliver data protection, ethics, and compliance training programs.
• Engage regulators, auditors, and stakeholders on data protection matters.
