Job summary

Tencent, a global Internet platform company, is expanding the Weixin Group (WXG) and seeks a backend/platform engineer to strengthen monitoring, reliability and operational excellence. You will develop and maintain backend services, build dashboards and improve observability to ensure stable performance across scalable systems.

The role requires 1–4 years in backend or related roles, degree in CS/IT, and Mandarin fluency for stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT.
• 1–4 years in backend or platform engineering roles.
• Basic to intermediate backend skills in Python/Java/Go.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Fluent Mandarin for stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health, performance, and metrics; support dashboards and alerts.
• Develop and maintain backend services for monitoring and observability.
• Manage resource requests, configuration, and monitoring for data infra.
• Troubleshoot platform issues using logs and SOPs; escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on requirements and risks.
