Job summary

Hytech, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a data analytics professional in Kuala Lumpur to design, develop, and maintain data marts supporting business analytics and reporting. You will build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, translate requirements into dimensional models, and collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver actionable datasets.

You will work with Databricks, AWS data services, and SQL/Python to ensure data quality, performance, and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data mart / data warehouse modeling (Kimball methodology preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, PySpark).
• Solid experience in AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda).
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Understanding of data partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data marts to support business analytics and reporting needs.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using scalable data processing frameworks.
• Translate business requirements into dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas).
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across datasets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver actionable datasets.
• Work closely with Data Analysts and BI teams to enable self-service analytics.
• Implement data governance, documentation, and best practices across the data layer.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance and data issues.
