Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a data engineer to design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, views, and functions, and to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for reliable data processing. You will model clean data for reporting, collaborate with analysts, and ensure governance and compliance across data operations.

You will prepare trusted datasets and semantic models for Tableau dashboards, with thorough documentation to support collaboration and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with foundation in databases, pipelines, and analytics tooling.
• Solid knowledge of relational design, SQL and data modeling.
• Experience building large ETL/ELT pipelines and working with big data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and lakehouses across platforms.
• Model clean, accurate data for reporting with analysts; support governance.
• Monitor data pipelines for performance, quality, and compliance.
• Prepare datasets and semantic models for Tableau dashboards with documentation.
