Job summary

Materialise NV is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting analytics and reporting within Materialise Medical. You will ensure data accuracy, collaborate with software engineers and analytics consumers, and improve platform reliability across the data stack.

The role emphasizes automated data validation, data quality monitoring, and close work with AWS services to deliver trusted data products for clinical and business analytics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Programming or scripting experience, preferably Python.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data processing pipelines and data products, supporting analytics and operational reporting.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, investigate data issues, and improve platform reliability.
• Implement automated validation, reconciliation, and quality monitoring to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Work with AWS services such as Glue, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and DMS.
• Collaborate with analytics teams, software engineers, and data consumers to support trusted and usable data products.
• Contribute to monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of data platform reliability and engineering practices.
