As a member of the Data Engineering team, you’ll have access to the research, knowledge, and tools to create leading-edge solutions across Avanade’s Data & AI practice. The role of Data Engineer is perfect for ambitious technologists passionate about working with the latest Microsoft cloud technology and Microsoft experts. What you’ll do

1. Enable partners on advanced analytics, data engineering, and AI use cases.
2. Provide technical guidance on data ingestion, modeling, pipelines, and governance.
3. Support partners in building, training, and deploying AI/ML models using Azure ML.
4. Assist with cognitive services integration such as vision, language, and search APIs.
5. Deliver readiness sessions on Azure App Services, containers, serverless, and DevOps.
6. Review partner solutions for scalability, performance, and security.
7. Develop technical skills in the latest Azure and Databricks technologies — achieving & maintaining relevant certifications.

Skills and experiences

• Proficient in spoken and written Japanese (min N3 JLPT).
• Demonstrable end-to-end experience in Data Engineering, including large-scale projects.
• Experience working with Azure Cloud and the latest Azure technologies, such as Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen 2), Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with app development using .NET, Node.js, or Python in Azure environment.
• Microsoft certifications such as DP-203, AI-102, AZ-204 are strongly preferred.
