Endava in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions with strong Python and AWS experience. You will work with internal clients to understand requirements and support data initiatives, mentor juniors, and ensure compliant, timely delivery across multiple teams.

The role emphasizes a people-centric approach with opportunities in hybrid/work-life balance and ongoing learning within a global technology company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
3–5 years of progressive software engineering experience.
Strong experience with Python and AWS cloud ecosystem.
Experience with any MPP database technology.
Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts.
Skilled in time management and meeting timelines.
Strong teamwork and effective communication.
Basic understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
Able to stay ahead of the curve with new technologies.
Experience in ad tech is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Active participation in discussions and provide insights about processes and solutions.
Handle intermediate tasks related to core practice with timely completion.
Identify areas for improvement and help adapt processes.
Develop and manage team documentation and conduct peer reviews.
Follow compliance guidelines, identify problems and propose solutions.
Collaborate across teams and integrate feedback from stakeholders.
Mentor trainee engineers and guide them through tasks.
