The Role:

1. Ensure robust data infrastructure to support the availability and integration of traditional, unstructured, and third-party data for analytics projects.
2. Collaborate with business owners to prepare contextual datasets supporting downstream applications like Tableau and SAS.
3. Design, develop, document, and implement end-to-end data pipelines and integration processes, both batch and real-time.
4. Conduct data analysis, profiling, cleansing, lineage, mapping, and transformation.
5. Develop ETL/ELT jobs and workflows, and deploy data solutions.
6. Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, efficiency, and cleanliness to optimize processes.
7. Implement best practices in data management, including standards for development, error handling, auditing, and data archival.
8. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory compliance, and emerging technologies to mitigate risks.
9. Identify potential risks and share best practices in risk management.
10. Perform other related responsibilities.

The Person:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in data warehousing, operational data stores, and large-scale data architecture.
3. Familiarity with Big Data and Hadoop technologies (Hive, Spark, Sqoop, Kafka, Spark Streaming) and SQL Data Warehouse.
4. Hands-on experience with Talend ETL/ELT or similar tools like SSIS.
5. Experience handling diverse data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
6. Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous.
7. Project management skills are a plus.
