Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary on-site lead during shift operations, ensuring continuity of critical infrastructure
  • Ensure coordination and monitoring of 52 Weeks calendar updates for all plan preventive maintenance, Annual Shut Down, Fire drill and other related activities
  • Ensure compliance with operational protocols, ISO standards, HSE and other related standards
  • Manage and coordinate daily activities of shift engineers, vendors, and contractors to ensure all systems operate within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and prescribed environmental setpoints.
  • Contract administration and associated reporting
  • Support Operations Manager to make critical decision for team with best benefit result for PDG
  • Support Continuous Improvement Plan program for system performance
  • Improve operations and procedures, ensure fulfil internal and external audit requirement for document standard
  • Responsible to review design, operations, and maintenance of data centre, including establish, sustain and revise SOP, MOP and EOP from time to time
  • Chaired daily operation meeting with SME, Vendors and Manager to update daily operation issue, outstanding activities, system capacity and energy usage
  • Monitor and control all critical data centre parameters and utility consumption trends to ensure compliance with operating specifications, promptly analysing and escalating any abnormalities or deviations.
  • Manage the outsource vendors including access, permit to work, PM works, emergency support and spare part availability
  • Manage shift personal and team performance. Ensure availability of shift crews including necessary coverage of plan/unplan leave and effective handovers
  • Prepare necessary report in routine basis. Highlight and follow up whenever issues encountered
  • Manage incident by executing escalation procedures according to criticality and priority. Responsible for effectiveness of team on respond time
  • Support sustaining efforts by the timely and resolve reoccurring issues with internal and external resources
  • Conduct and ensure the whole shift team receives related training to operate the facilities effectively

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Facility Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
  • At least 6 years of experience in data centre operations or critical facilities
  • Able to commit to 12 hours shift work on a work 4 days, off 4 days arrangement
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word, BMS, CMMS/DCIM, ERP, Microsoft BI.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making under pressure
  • Highly proficient in communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, disciplined, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Strong sense of responsibility and integrity
