Job summary

Trane Technologies in Shah Alam is seeking an HVAC Engineer (Data Centre Focus) to plan, execute, and provide technical support for HVAC operations in mission-critical data centre environments.

You will work with data centre customers, lead maintenance of chillers and CRAH/CRAC units, and optimize cooling system performance while ensuring safety and quality standards. Based in Shah Alam with willingness for regional support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience, preferably supporting data centre operations.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Based in Shah Alam and able to support regional operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems in data centres.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance for chillers and CRAH/CRAC units.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize HVAC performance in mission-critical environments.
• Lead technicians or subcontractors to ensure timely task completion.
• Coordinate with customers on schedules, updates, and issues.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards and internal quality requirements.
