Job summary

INSPUR COMMUNICATION MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a fire protection engineering professional to manage and coordinate installation and construction works for data centre projects.

You will review drawings, specifications, and submissions, coordinating with contractors and other engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution. The role involves on-site monitoring of installation, testing, commissioning, and rectification of fire protection systems, along with site inspections to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in fire protection engineering or construction projects.
• Experience in data centre construction projects is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of fire protection systems, including fire alarm, fire suppression, sprinkler, hydrant, and related systems.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively on construction sites.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage, especially for communication with Chinese-speaking project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate fire protection system installation and construction works for data centre projects
• Review fire protection drawings, specifications, material submissions, method statements, and shop drawings
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and rectification of fire protection systems
• Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship and fire protection systems comply with project requirements and relevant standards
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, testing reports, progress reports, and other project documentation
