Job summary

A data solutions provider in Johor Bahru is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide advanced technical support and manage network infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, at least 1 year of experience in a Data Center, and be proficient in Mandarin. This position operates on a 24/7 shift basis with immediate availability preferred.

Job description

• Manage and provide advanced technical support for servers, routers, switches, and network infrastructure within Data Center environment.
• Perform and oversee complex configuration changes, network optimization, and advanced debugging of Data Center networks. Lead fault troubleshooting efforts and resolve critical system issues.
• Monitor and manage Data Center capacity specifications, proactively detecting and resolving potential issues related to network or server performance.
• Supervise system installation, configuration, and integration of new technologies, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with Data Center standards.
• Execute and oversee advanced changes to system services and configurations, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in a Data Center environment, with a strong preference for experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Center infrastructure, network protocols, and system management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in handling escalated issues and critical incidents.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking associates and customers.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift operation.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
