A leading tech service provider is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Selangor, Malaysia. This on-site position supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities. Key responsibilities include hardware installations, structured cabling, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Candidates should have 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience and professional communication skills in English. Compensation is RM32-45/hr based on experience and project complexity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single‑mode/multi‑mode fiber).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
