Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Brickfields, Malaysia is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team in a full-time role. You will support critical infrastructure across server rooms, perform structured cabling, deploy hardware, monitor power, cooling, and security, and collaborate with engineering and operations.

The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, strong troubleshooting skills, Cat6/6a cabling and fiber knowledge, rack and stack experience, and relevant vendor or DCIM

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Strong cabling skills with Cat6/6a and fiber knowledge.
• Experience with rack and stack procedures.
• Familiarity with power distribution and UPS systems.
• Willingness to work on-call rotations and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and troubleshoot effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment and lifting (50+ lbs).
• Support ITIL-aligned incident and change processes.

Work Schedule

• Full-time permanent position
• Standard business hours with on-call rotation
• Shift differentials for nights/weekends when applicable

Key Responsibilities
