We are seeking a dedicated Data Center Technician to join our team in Johor. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Hardware support including installations, moves, adds, and changes.
2. Decommissioning of IT equipment such as networks, servers, storage, and backup devices.
3. Media management, including HDD/SSD destruction and disposal.
4. Connecting and disconnecting cable patches in the data center.
5. Hardware break-fix support, including installation of parts and module replacements.
6. Conducting regular physical and visual inspections of equipment and data center facilities.
7. Providing onsite support during scheduled power events.
8. Knowledge of Linux systems, installation, and network troubleshooting.
9. Troubleshooting IT and network-related issues.
10. Managing inventory records and performing cycle counts for accuracy.
11. Managing rack space, power, and cooling allocations for installations or relocations.
12. Updating inventory and documentation for structured cabling and materials.
13. Managing capacity concerning space, power, and cooling.
14. Understanding of data center space, power, and cooling management.
15. Understanding incident and change management processes.
16. Managing data center access requests.
17. Supporting POP site operations and standby duties.
18. Providing regular progress reports on support activities.
19. Engaging in continuous improvement, maintenance, and development activities.
20. Providing after-hours support as per the on-call schedule.
21. Performing other duties as assigned.
22. Possessing good knowledge of structured cabling and patching.
