Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced construction project manager to oversee data centre build and fit-out projects in Johor Bahru. You will review design and contract documents, coordinate contractor submissions, procurements, shop drawings and RFIs, and lead project review meetings on site.

You will provide regular client reports with QA/QC updates, manage cost status updates, track changes, and ensure delivery from early site access to handover, while maintaining strong teamwork and clear

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry in project management and supervision.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in BM & English.

Responsibilities

• Review and get familiarized with all related project design & contract documentation, contractor submissions, procurement documents and tender packages, shop drawings, RFIs, etc. for new build and/or fit out of Data Centre infrastructure and construction projects.
• Organize and attend all relevant project review meetings, site meetings and other project relevant discussions.
• Provide regular reports to the Client, including photos and comments on the site QA/QC process.
• Understand, work with project team to gather, administer and issue contract documentation.
• Verify the contractor’s request for change orders.
• Verify the contractor’s payment request, construction progress, etc.
• Coordinate the review of shop drawings from contractors with consultant’s design documentation.
• Prepare Project Update material for client and contractor meetings.
• Updating the Project Cost Status report monthly.
• Coordinate and follow up all comments from internal stakeholders.
• Review submissions and RFI/RFP from contractors and responses from design team and internal partner team
• Tracking of work status which needs follow up actions.
• Conduct regular site checks on installation method, workmanship and quality assurance process of consultants & contractors for the entire fit out work from start to handover e.g. Early Site Access (ESA), Facilities Ready (FR), Security Ready (SCR).
• Other administrative works as required.
