Job summary

Google Malaysia is seeking an experienced Facilities Management professional to lead day-to-day data center operations, ensuring reliable power, cooling and network infrastructure in Sungai Buloh and nearby sites. You will oversee teams, manage budgets, and coordinate complex projects to keep critical systems running smoothly.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers, network and its components.
• Experience in site-level data centre operational leadership or equivalent.
• Experience with different operating systems (e.g., Linux), and developing network architecture.
• Experience in developing and managing managers.
• Ability to work non-standard hours.

• Communicate business priorities that are consistent with company objectives. Work together to identify and resolve problems, create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
• Manage the implementation of projects within the team. Hire, coach and develop a team while achieving strategic business goals.
• Work in shifts may be required to meet evolving business needs and operational schedules.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating large-scale infrastructure, and network and compute architecture and lifecycle, and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience with initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment, and managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and service delivery.
• Demonstrated strong performance and experience with data gathering, analysis and presentation skills.
• Track record of leading and improving Environmental Health and Safety initiatives, and ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering collaborative team environment.
• Excellent strategic problem-solving skills.
