Job summary

Google is seeking a facilities leadership professional to oversee data center operations, ensuring reliable, scalable infrastructure and safe, efficient site management. You will lead technical teams, align priorities with global objectives, and drive projects from planning through execution while supporting non-standard hours as needed.

The role sits within the AI and Infrastructure ecosystem, enabling innovative computing at scale and collaborating across project teams to sustain world‑class

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers, network and its components.
• Experience in site-level data center operational leadership or equivalent.
• Experience with different operating systems (e.g., Linux), and developing network architecture.
• Experience in developing and managing managers.
• Ability to work non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations.
• Communicate business priorities that are consistent with company objectives. Work together to identify and resolve problems, create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
• Manage the implementation of projects within the team. Hire, coach and develop a team while achieving strategic business goals.
• Work in shifts may be required to meet evolving business needs and operational schedules.

Minimum qualifications

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating large-scale infrastructure, and network and compute architecture and lifecycle, and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience with initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment, and managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and service delivery.
• Demonstrated strong performance and experience with data gathering, analysis and presentation skills.
• Track record of leading and improving Environmental Health and Safety initiatives, and ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering collaborative team environment.
• Excellent strategic problem-solving skills.
