Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ICT and security workstreams for data centre construction, from design through installation and commissioning.

The role requires 5–8 years of PM experience in data centres or security projects, strong knowledge of physical security systems, and proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage complex schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Security Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of project management experience in data centre, mission-critical ICT or security systems projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex security installations within construction environments.
• Strong understanding of physical security systems, low-voltage infrastructure, structured cabling, and networked security solutions.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams and managing multiple contractors.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of ICT and security workstreams throughout the data centre construction lifecycle, from design and procurement through installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage the implementation of physical security technologies, including ACS, CCTV, PIDS, VMS, and SOC integrations.
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, general contractors, M&E teams, vendors, and commissioning teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Review security design drawings, technical specifications, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Drive project schedules, budgets, risk management activities, and resource planning.
• Oversee system integration, FAT, SAT, and handover documentation.
