Job description

Responsibilities:

- Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments as needed

- Installing fiber optic cable and other networking equipment in new construction projects

- Diagnosing network problems such as signal loss due to interference or faulty wiring

- Testing and repairing telephone lines, including repairing broken cables or wires and replacing defective equipment such as jacks or modems

- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer networks, including LANs (local area networks) and WANs (wide area networks)

- Setting up networks using routers, switches, firewalls, modems, or other hardware devices

- Designing and installing new wireless networks, such as 2G, 3G, 4G, or LTE networks for mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets

- Installing, repairing, and maintaining telecommunications equipment, such as routers, switches, modems, computers, and other hardware

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year working experience in Information Technology or related field.

Exhibit quality workmanship for all tasks assigned/undertaken.

Maintain site cleanliness at all times.

Adhering to safety policies and procedures at all times.

Ability to work independently as well as a team.

Excellent written and spoken interpersonal communication skills.

Availability during after-office hours, weekend or public holidays for emergency support.

Willing to work at remote sites

Knowledge and experience in operating cable testers including generating test result both in hardcopy and softcopy is an added advantage.

Possess valid motorbike and car driving license

Possess valid CIDB and NIOSH card preferred but not required

Able to start work immediately
