Job description

We are hiring for a Data Center Engineer to work in the Bukit Jalil area.

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding IDC Infrastructure: Demonstrate understanding of IDC infrastructure, including power environment variables such as air conditioning, power supply, temperature, and humidity. Proficient in analyzing equipment data to identify issues and coordinate with operations engineers to manage on-site problems.
2. Server and Network Equipment Management: Troubleshoot, maintain, and replace servers (e.g., DELL, HP, IBM) and network equipment. Complete on-site fiber optic and cable connections under the guidance of network engineers.
3. Linux Operating System Proficiency: Basic understanding of Linux OS, capable of configuring services, system files, and remote management tools.
4. Adherence to SOPs: Follow client-specified Standard Operating Procedures for duties and operations.
5. Coordination and Communication: Communicate effectively with clients for on-site management and emergencies.
6. Proactive Problem Identification: Identify and address potential issues proactively, handling high-stress situations effectively.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: Over one year in server or storage maintenance, preferably in data center environments with basic Data Centre domain knowledge.
• Language Skills: Basic communication, reading, and writing in Chinese and English for liaising with Chinese associates.
• Work Conditions: Ability to work in a 24/7 shift system.
