Job summary

Optimum Infosolutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to analyze data, manage pipelines, and build dashboards with Power BI and Tableau. The role focuses on delivering actionable insights to support business and risk decisions while handling large datasets.

You will leverage strong SQL skills, validate data quality, automate reports, and collaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Risk teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years in Data Analytics/BI roles.
• Strong SQL skills for data retrieval, querying and analysis.
• 1+ year using Power BI for dashboards.
• Experience with large datasets and data quality checks.
• Understanding of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user, transaction and alternative data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor business metrics and performance.
• Manage data pipelines to ensure data integrity and efficient data flow.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation and manipulation using SQL.
• Collaborate with data quality teams to strengthen reporting accuracy.
• Generate regular operational and ad hoc analytical reports.
• Support risk-related decision-making and monitor risk metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Risk teams.
