We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical candidate for the Route Revenue team as a Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will translate complex data into understandable insights and recommendations to support business decisions. We encourage individuals passionate about aviation, with strong numerical and analytical skills, and an interest in technology, automation, and continuous improvement to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate insights, develop reports and dashboards, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity by working with various teams to understand needs and translate them into data-driven recommendations.
  • Automate manual workflows and explore new technologies to innovate revenue management strategies.

Importance of the Role:

This position enables the Revenue team to make data-driven decisions, improve efficiency, modernize revenue management methods, and increase route profitability through technological innovation.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Data Acquisition and Management:

  • Identify and gather relevant data from sources such as databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and external platforms.
  • Ensure data accessibility and optimize storage and retrieval systems, including SQL databases.

Data Preparation and Quality Assurance:

  • Clean and preprocess data, handle missing values, correct errors, remove duplicates, and transform data for analysis.
  • Implement processes to monitor and ensure data accuracy and consistency, and document procedures.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Apply statistical and exploratory data analysis techniques to identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for strategic decisions.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver insights.

Revenue Management Innovation:

  • Identify market and internal opportunities for revenue growth and efficiency.
  • Design innovative pricing strategies, forecasting models, and customer segmentation approaches.
  • Research and recommend new technologies like AI/ML and automation.
  • Plan and analyze A/B tests and pilot programs.
  • Work with Data Scientists, Engineers, IT, and Revenue teams to implement solutions.
  • Define metrics and monitor the impact of innovations.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and incorporate best practices.

Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Aviation Management, or related fields (graduate degrees preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, advanced functions, scripts).
  • Knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google DataStudio).
  • Interest in systems and emerging technologies.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, resourceful, proactive.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of Data Engineering or Data Science.
  • Experience in revenue management within aviation or other industries.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
