Job summary

MR D.I.Y. is seeking a data science professional to build and maintain forecasting models to support business planning and decision-making.

The role includes evaluating model accuracy, developing what-if simulations to test pricing, display, and stock changes, and designing inventory allocation across stores. You will create dashboards and collaborate with data stakeholders to translate requirements into analytic solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in data analytics or data science.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DS/IT or equivalent.
• Strong Python (pandas, sklearn) and SQL proficiency.
• Experience in time series forecasting and predictive modeling.
• Analytical, data-driven mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of ML concepts; PM and stakeholder mgmt experience are a plus.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar field
• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
• Strong proficiency in Python (e.g., libraries such as pandas, sklearn) and SQL
• Hands-on experience in time series forecasting and predictive modeling
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts and techniques
• Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery (good to have)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate across diverse teams (good to have)
• Demonstrated critical and creative thinking abilities
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical and innovative solutions
