Job Purpose Summary:

• Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product that helps the organization reach its strategic goals.
• Focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets.
• Create scalable, high-performance web services for tracking data.
• Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.
• Investigate alternatives for data storing and processing to ensure the implementation of streamlined solutions.
• Serve as a mentor for junior staff members by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
• Manage all phases of the development process: analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
• Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Solve complex problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards; perform root cause analyses.
• Engage in post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Understand Big Data app development concepts and principles, along with related technology areas.
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complex and unique situations.
• Ensure the quality of work provided by self and others, directly impacting the business.
• Impact own team and related work teams; communicate complex information effectively with diplomacy.

Successful candidate will have experience in:

• Gathering requirements from various source systems and business users.
• Communicating with business users to understand requirements clearly.
• Conducting meetings with source system IT SMEs to understand system elements.
• Supporting other developers in mapping source attributes into the Teradata FSLDM and interpreting requirements.
• Collaborating with Data Modelers to enhance the FSLDM.
• Developing scripts for loading data into base tables in EDW.
• Understanding relational databases.
• Creating Source to Target Mapping Data documentation.
• Understanding data models of source systems and their relationships.
• Writing design documents, system administration documents, test plans, test scenarios, and documenting test results.
• Interacting with users, documenting requirements, performing data analysis and profiling, and developing design specifications.
