A digital content company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Data Analyst (App & Ads) to transform data into actionable insights for app and advertising performance. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, expertise in digital marketing analytics, and is proficient with tools like GA4 and Excel. As our Data Analyst (App & Ads), you’ll turn data into insights that drive decisions across our app ecosystem and advertising campaigns. You’ll collect, clean, and visualize performance data, helping the team understand what content, audience, and placements perform best.
Track and analyse key app metrics such as installs, retention, churn, watch time, and user funnel performance.
Monitor digital ad performance across Meta, TikTok and Google, reporting on CTR, CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS and conversion events.
Build dashboards and weekly reports using Google Data Studio, Excel, or similar visualization tools.
Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to test hypotheses (e.g. A/B testing creatives, audience segments, or ad copies).
Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights from data to guide campaign and content decisions.
Ensure accuracy of data collection, tagging, and event tracking (Firebase, GA4, or Appsflyer).
Provide post-campaign analysis and optimization recommendations.
Stay updated on data analytic tools, privacy updates, and industry benchmarks.
Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in data analysis, ideally in digital marketing, app analytics, or performance media.
Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, GA4, Appsflyer, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager and Looker Studio.
Ability to interpret data clearly and communication insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem solving, accuracy, and visualization skills.
Proactive, curious, and adaptable in a fast changing environment.
