Job summary

Ambition in Petaling Jaya seeks an experienced Business Analyst for a 12-month contract focused on data and analytics. You will translate business needs into analytics solutions and work with senior stakeholders to shape data governance and decision-making.

You will model strategic processes, perform complex analyses, and guide data stewards to ensure data quality and governance across analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Power BI, Google Analytics, BigQuery and Looker Studio.
• Strong Excel, DAX and data modelling concepts.
• Exposure to data governance, data quality, or stewardship frameworks.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic, cross-functional team and translate complex business needs into high-impact analytics solutions.

The Role

What We're Looking For

You're analytical, collaborative, and outcomes-focused. To be considered, you will need:

• At least 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
• Exposure to data governance, data quality, or stewardship frameworks
• Proficiency in Power BI, Google Analytics, BigQuery, and Looker Studio
• Strong skills in Advanced Excel, DAX, and data modelling concepts
• Familiarity with LeanIX and CBAP or PMI-PBA certification are both advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
