Job summary

Air Liquide Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a production technician at its Shah Alam facility. The role involves cylinder checking, maintenance, accessories replacement, and quality checks to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Training will be provided, and applicants with hands-on industrial experience are encouraged to apply. Location is in Hicom-Glenmarie Industrial Park, Shah Alam, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, precision, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SPM/SKM or a Diploma in any discipline.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with gas cylinder handling or plant operations is a plus, but we will provide full training.

Responsibilities

• Cylinder Checking: inspect and sort cylinders and bundles to ready-to-fill or maintenance areas.
• Cylinder Maintenance: inspect treatment equipment and perform leak tests; ensure safety and proper operation.
• Cylinder Accessories: replace defective accessories and apply proper labels.
• Quality Check Maintenance: perform dew point checks and quality testing per batch; ensure product integrity and analyzer readiness.

How Will You Be Contributing to Our Success?

Cylinder Checking : includes physical inspection of new and return cylinders & bundles such as : year test or tube accessories, Paints, Valves, Caps etc. Check condition of frame bundles and manifold, and sort between ready-to-fill cylinders and bundles and cylinder and bundles to maintenance area

Cylinder Maintenance : Inspect the cylinder treatment equipment such as hydrotest machine, dryer, painting equipment, oven before operation to be safe and can be operated properly. Cylinder or valve leak test before install it using soapy water. Painting the cylinder in accordance with government compliance and standards. Conduct Cylinder testing with hydrotest machine in accordance with government regulation. Conduct valving-devalving of cylinder in accordance with AL safety standards. Conduct drying & vacuum bake oven of cylinders. Ensure the conformity of the cylinders according to the color and its gas. Ensure the handover process of cylinder to filling area conduct properly and Initialize GTS barcode on the cylinder after maintenance process

Cylinder Accessories : Conduct replacement of a defect accessories. Install the cap and valve type according to gas and cylinder allocation. Attached stickers according to product specifications and grades.

Quality Check Maintenance : Conduct quality check of dew point check per batch cylinder VBO as product specification needed. Ensure the integrity of quality of all products. Must be qualified to do functional testing on analyzers
