Job summary

Hornbill Skyways Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a cybersecurity professional to develop, implement and enforce the company's cyber framework and security policies. The role involves risk assessments, vulnerability management and coordinating responses to threats across IT systems.

You will monitor security incidents, review access controls and work with external specialists for penetration testing and remediation, while supporting secure development and staff awareness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security or related areas.
• Practical knowledge of cybersecurity controls, vulnerability management, endpoint/network security, incident response and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with recognised cybersecurity frameworks and information-security management practices.
• Relevant professional certification such as Security+, CEH, SSCP, ISO/IEC 27001-related certification or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Candidates currently pursuing recognised cybersecurity certification may also be considered where supported by relevant practical experience.
• Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal users, technical personnel and external cybersecurity specialists.
• Experience in aviation, critical infrastructure or another regulated industry will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the Company's cybersecurity framework, policies, standards and procedures
• Conduct and coordinate cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability management activities
• Monitor security alerts, threats, vulnerabilities and cybersecurity incidents and coordinate appropriate responses
• Support incident response, investigation, escalation, containment and recovery activities
• Review user access, privileged access and security controls across IT systems
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and remediation activities with external specialists
• Monitor endpoint security, network security, email security, firewalls and other cybersecurity controls
• Support cybersecurity requirements for new IT systems and digitalisation projects
• Work with software-development personnel to promote secure application-development practices
• Coordinate cybersecurity awareness and phishing-awareness programmes for employees
