To protect and preserve Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia's information assets and computing resources through the support of deployed security solutions, security assessments, vulnerabilities management, and other advanced cyber security controls. This role is responsible for analyzing security alerts, identifying security threats, and proposing corrective measures to prevent and safeguard TMLM's computer networks and information. The Cyber Security Specialist is also responsible for performing user access administration and reviews to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard TMLM's computer networks and information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for implemented security solutions and coordinate with product vendors for problem resolution, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Manage and support security devices/applications, where applicable.
- Plan the implementation and roll-out of security products, technologies, and controls.
- Perform security reviews on systems, network devices, security devices, and applications to ensure security controls are properly implemented and functioning as intended.
- Collaborate, gather, and analyze the risk and impact of each security threat and violation detected.
- Coordinate with Security Operation Centre (SOC) and TMA GFC on threat intelligence, suspicious activities, and alerts.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and investigate with respective parties for root causes.
- Manage and follow up on penetration testing, compliance scanning, and vulnerability scanning results to ensure findings are remediated or risks are accepted upon closure.
- Handle user access creation, onboarding, offboarding, and termination.
- Conduct periodic user access reviews.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in IT/Information Security/Cyber Security or related qualification.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the Information Security/Cyber Security field.
- Strong experience in supporting and managing cyber security/IT security solutions.
- Good working knowledge of security technologies and/or products, such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, endpoint detection and response, anti-malware, vulnerability, and compliance scanning tools.
- Experience in security assessment and vulnerability remediation.
- Well-informed about security solutions in the market, and familiar with the purpose and functions of various technical and procedural controls.
- Good knowledge of BNM RMIT, security standards, and best practices.
- Team player with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, proactive, with a strong desire to learn and a strong sense of ownership.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and regulatory requirements is an added advantage.
