A leading global ICT solutions provider seeks a Customs Specialist to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves managing import permits, customs regulations, and liaising with stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations and AEO is advantageous.
  • Experience with customs classification and FTA is essential.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with stakeholders for daily customs operations.
  • Handle PTO invoices and customs tariff codes.
  • Apply for import permits using Dagangnet.

Job description

Work as part of a team and report to the Customs Manager.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for daily operations.

Apply for import permits using Dagangnet and familiar with SIRIM applications.

Arrange haulage/truck transportation from port to warehouse with 3rd party LSPs.

Identify customs tariff codes and update the HS Code system.

Handle PTO invoices, identify potential items for consolidation, and create invoices.

Effective communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with team members and share tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge and experience with Malaysia customs regulations, customs audits, AEO, and understanding of the communications industry rules are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of customs classification, FTA & COO is essential.
  • Able to work in a multicultural, dynamic, and complex environment.
  • Strong drive, hands-on approach, structured, accurate, and result-oriented work style.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible, proactive, and communicative personality, capable of working in a demanding, busy environment.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
