Job description

The Customer Technical Support (CTS) Executive will be part of the team of specialty fats business. The key focus of the role is to support team on product recommendation and technical solutions to customers, which lead to opportunity pipeline growth as well as enhancement of profitability and returns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist CTS team by providing product evaluation and recommendation to customers.
  2. Evaluate and understand customer needs, provide suitable product recommendation and technical service solutions to customers, foster good customer relationships.
  3. Work closely with internal stakeholders (CTS, commercial, R&D, QA/QC, plant operation) as needed in driving customer projects, product development and application development.
  4. Assist CTS team in sales tools development, e.g. presentations, brochures, product application information for existing and new products.
  5. Assist CTS team in driving customer co-development program, workshops or exhibitions.
  6. Support long term development projects and opportunity pipeline reporting.
  7. Execute assigned projects or information research.

Education/Experience

  1. Degree in Food Science Technology or other relevant fields.
  2. Minimum 3 years working experience in the food application/food ingredient industry preferably in oils & fats, confectionery or bakery.
  3. Possess good communication skills, analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  4. Proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  5. Traveling as needed (5-10%).
