Qualifications

Wentel Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is actively seeking individuals with your skillset to join our team as Customer Quality Engineer.

5-day work week (Monday - Friday)

Competitive remuneration package

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure subordinates carry out inspections (FA or outgoing) within the timeline.
  • Carry out continuous improvement activities within or between departments.
  • Act as a window to the customer on quality-related issues, ensuring no delays in response or feedback.
  • Follow up and audit CAPA effectiveness & conduct quality review meetings with SQE (if supplier issue) or internally (production and engineering).
  • Establish quality check sheets and/or work instructions for subordinates to follow.
  • Conduct training for subordinates and ensure skill matrix is refreshed and updated.
  • Monitor outgoing or FA performance and drive improvements (worst performers).
  • Follow up on customer returns – collection, rework, and return. Reply with corrective/preventive actions and monitor new lot quality performance.
  • Conduct production line audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with NPI / engineering for new product development, including inspection, FMEA, etc.
  • Liaise with customers for on-site FA buyoff, routine audits, and dispatch RE or technicians for rework at customer premises.
  • Identify root causes and work with production or technical teams for improvements (aim for poke yoke or error-proofing solutions).
  • Establish internal quality standards or catalogues as guidelines for subordinates and the operations team.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma with experience in the field and minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • Experience in quality systems, quality assurance, or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal is an advantage.
  • GD&T knowledge is an advantage.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 is an advantage.
