Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd seeks a Customer Engineer iTeam to support Singapore-based activities from Petaling Jaya, MY. You will collaborate with senior engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment while using digital analytics for troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include reading electrical/mechanical schematics, diagnosing basic issues, performing maintenance on complex systems, and traveling up to 75% to support overseas customers.
Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers [Customer Engineers] in installing, maintaining, and upgrading customer equipment
Use digital analytics for troubleshooting
Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address technical issues, with guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers [Customer Engineers]
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided)
Coordinate and communicate directly with customers
Participate in projects/assignments in meeting organization goals
Fulfill additional duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
3+ years of experience in customer support, field service, or a related engineering or technical field
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges
Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Able to travel upto 75% of the time to support overseas customers
Able to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental guidelines, and customer/Applied protocols
