Job Description:

The Customer Account Specialist manages the service requests of customers through different access channels with minimal supervision. Prepare monthly collection strategies. & stablish action plan to meet/exceed metrics. Effectively forecast month-end metric results. Monitor and meet Key Performance Indicator Metrics within target (AR, Suspense, Return and Fees). Report progress during AR review meetings.

The Customer Account Specialist also performs reconciliation of customer accounts (Account Receivable & Customer payments). Manage corrective activities in regard to invoice inaccuracies. Provide customer service by responding, tracking and resolving customer invoicing inquiries. Work with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Tax & Credit teams to identify & highlight possible adverse relationship issues, e.g. delinquencies, administrative issues etc. Actively manage account receivables health & targets and Coordinate, facilitate, process and follow-up on financial changes (e.g. schedule restructuring, company restructurings, etc.)

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically, a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience or Master with min related experience.

  • 1-2 years related experience in a telephone support positionin relevant field of banking, collections, or finance background and ideally comfortable to work with numbers.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Proficient in English verbal & written communications to support Australia and New Zealand customers and channel partners is a must.

  • The role requires active listening, clear articulation, and effective written communication.

  • Willing to adhere to Australian working hours: Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 3.30pm (Local time) Public Holidays (PH): We follow the Australian (NSW) calendar. Difference in AU PH and MY PH – replacement day off.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills are essential for success in this role

  • Working knowledge of the field of Customer Relations.

  • Demonstrated verbal communication and customer service skills.

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of operating systems software.

  • Demonstrated writing/correspondence skills.

  • Experience and demonstrated presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of legal ramifications/conflicts in Customer Relations environment such as consumer rights and manufacturers' warranty responsibility.

Additional Information:

Support testing & implementation of new systems releases as requested.
Manage, and process non-financial changes (e.g. equipment location, billing address, serial number changes); analyzing and ensuring customer information is accurate and up to date in the systems.
