Company Background

We are representing our client; one of the leading pastries and bakeries in Perak. Currently with 14 bakeries outlets in Perak, along with 2 hype and buzzing pastries cafés in Selangor.

Responsibilities
  • Innovate and create new menu items, specials, and seasonal dishes.
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure all dishes adhere to the restaurants standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Conduct regular tastings and inspections to uphold quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Implement and oversee health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and implement improvements.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar establishment, with significant experience in a centralized kitchen environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional creativity and culinary expertise, particularly in large-scale food production.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, especially within a centralized kitchen setting.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple production lines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness to travel between Selangor and Ipoh (must have own transport).
