Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

This company is the Southeast Asia’s leading destination for a comprehensive and integrated ecosystem of healthcare, and the position will be under the hospital department.

Reporting to: Managing Director

They are looking for a visionary leader with a deep understanding of hardware product development in communications and sensing technologies. Key responsibilities include setting the technology vision, managing technology budgets, overseeing technical teams, and staying informed about emerging technologies. The CTO should be able to drive innovation, align technical strategies with hospital goals, manage infrastructure, research and development, cybersecurity, compliance, budgeting, resource allocation, strategic planning, and execution.

Responsibilities
  1. Information Technology Strategy: Defining and implementing the overall IT strategy, including the hospital's digital transformation program.
  2. Innovation: Evaluating and adopting modern technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  3. Resource Management: Managing IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
  4. Technical Leadership: Leading and mentoring the IT team, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.
  5. Security & Compliance: Ensuring the security and integrity of the company's technical infrastructure, including data security, disaster recovery, and security failure plans.
  6. Collaboration: Working with other executives and departments to align IT strategy with business objectives.
  7. Other Key Duties:
    1. Developing and managing annual and quarterly budgets.
    2. Overseeing data security, management, and governance.
    3. Managing strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.
    4. Establishing and maintaining reliable IT operations.
    5. Developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or master’s degree in information technology or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in IT leadership roles, with typically 10-15 years of experience in hospital services or related fields, including experience with Total Hospital Information System.
  3. Experience in setting IT strategy, innovation, technical leadership, budget management, and ensuring security and integrity of technical infrastructure.
  4. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages such as Mandarin are a plus.
