Job description

Our client, a global MNC company is looking to hire a Facilities Manager in Johor, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Data Centre operations team, overseeing all facilities management, including all disciplines involved.
  • Answering customer questions from technical and operational perspectives.
  • Manage daily operations, including incident response management, maintenance schedules, and capacity
  • planning together with the onsite and remote client’s operational team.
  • Ensure that clients' SLAs and KPI are met in all aspects.
  • Oversee and supervise small expansion and migrations projects in the Data Centre.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Data Centre management practices and compliance protocols that ensure high reliability and efficiency, to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise and ensure high level of cyber, physical and logical security requirements are met.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring that all service agreements and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Lead disaster recovery efforts and Data Centre scalability initiatives.
  • Develop and control the operational budget, including forecasts and cost optimizations.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies for operational procedures and disaster response tactics.
  • Ensure client’s sustainability targets are met, and Data centre, ISO and other certificates are obtained and sustained.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience and knowledge of MEP equipment such as UPS, generator, Chiller, Pump, cooling tower, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill in English.
  • High attention to details to identify the risk and drive to resolve them.
