Job summary

DSV Shared Services Asia Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is seeking an Operations Finance Assistant (Credit Risk) to perform in-depth financial analyses of clients and counterparties, assess risk, and support credit decision-making.

You will review credit applications, assign internal risk ratings, and help develop risk models while monitoring risk limits across clients and products in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or professional degree required.
• Fresh graduate or 1+ year in Accounting/Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of corporate clients, financial institutions, or retail borrowers using financial statements, credit histories, credit reports and market data
• Review credit applications, financing structures, and complex derivatives to approve, reject, or modify terms based on risk guidelines
• Assign internal credit ratings to counterparties and develop/refine risk assessment models
• Establish, implement, and monitor credit risk limits across different clients, products, and sectors in accordance with board-approved risk appetite
• Regularly review customer's credit utilization and any risk associated with changes in the micro and macro environment
• Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to measure portfolio vulnerability to adverse economic or market conditions
• Formulate, implement, and maintain credit policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
• Ensure all credit activities and provisioning comply with policy, regulatory requirements and international accounting standards
• Work alongside relationship managers, business units, and product groups to structure deals that balance growth objectives with acceptable risk levels
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly reporting and present credit recommendations to Senior Management and Credit Committees
