We are expanding our operations with the establishment of a Shared Services Entity in Malaysia - Neo Services Sdn Bhd (NEO), to support our growth and operational excellence.

NEO will centralize key functions such as Customer Services, Banking Operations, and Credit Operations; enabling scalable solutions aligned with our vision, agility, and efficiency for GXS Bank.

Get to know the role:

Based in Malaysia, this role is part of the Credit Risk team. The role involves working closely with the Risk, Product, and Tech teams in Singapore to design, build, and maintain credit risk reports, analyze portfolio performance, and provide insights into the bank's credit portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and generate periodic credit risk reports, automating these processes where possible.
  2. Generate ad hoc reports and analyses as required.
  3. Understand the bank’s credit portfolio—its composition, changes, risks, and opportunities through report consumption and analytical deep dives.
  4. Collaborate with the Credit Risk and Data Science teams to refine credit policies and models.
  5. Present portfolio reports and analyses to senior management.
  6. Develop and maintain analytics infrastructure supporting timely and accurate credit risk reporting.
  7. Work with data engineers to build data pipelines for new data feeds.
  8. Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on credit risk systems, focusing on reporting tools.
  9. Analyze portfolio performance to identify segments needing review.
  10. Work with Collections to analyze customer repayment behavior, identify potential fraud, and escalate cases.
  11. Engage with the Credit Risk Manager to discuss portfolio trends and abnormalities.
  12. Support Credit Risk enhancement projects, including vendor management and system implementation.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  2. Minimum of five years' relevant banking experience, preferably in risk, business, or product roles for retail or SME lending portfolios.
  3. Proficient in SQL.
  4. Strong preference for proficiency in Python for data manipulation.
  5. Familiarity with the Singapore retail and SME lending markets and regulatory environment is a plus.
  6. Experience creating and maintaining dashboards/reports in Tableau is preferred.
  7. Proficiency with Google Workspace is advantageous.
  8. Ability to produce high-quality analysis from structured and unstructured data.
  9. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
